Profiles:  Mac OSX,  firefox 1.0.229 Mar 2005 16:47 GMT1
I have recently installed firefox 1.0.2,  and now cannot setup
profiles.  I have removed all folders I can find with any reference to
Firefox,  and re-installed...  still unable to start the profile

OS X command line arguments28 Mar 2005 23:43 GMT2
How do you pass command line arguments such as "-chrome" to the Firefox
executable on OSX without using a terminal window?
I had thought I'd be able to modify the firefox packages info.plist, but
I can find that either.

I am pretty new to newsgroups and was wondering where I can find more
groups. I used to use Agent on my friends computer but don't know where
to find a group list like that on Mac
Strange Download Format25 Mar 2005 04:33 GMT1
I'm using Firefox 1.0 under MacOS 10.2. I frequently download files in
PDF format from various sites.
Lately, I've noticed that such files do not regularly download as PDF.
Instead, they intermittently show up as ".do" files, a format that I

I always get the same error that indicates missing files in the source

Can't Type in URL Bar or anywhere else17 Mar 2005 05:05 GMT3
I'm running OSXv10.3.8 on a 1GHz G4 and new Firefox windows won't allow
me to type in the URL bar or anywhere else.  It's as if the browser has
disabled my keyboard.  The original window, however, works.
Interesting also is that this doesn't happen in Camino.

Crash problem10 Mar 2005 15:14 GMT2
I had to reinstall Mozilla for reasons that I suspect had to do with
some game playing. However, I lost all addresses, passwords, bookmarks
etc. I saved the profile folder, and managed to import a small number of
addresses. Is there an FAQ telling me how to get back my stuff? I ...
--enable-standalone-modules=xpcom,plugin10 Mar 2005 13:15 GMT3
A long, long time ago (2 years?) someone ported VLC media players
(http://www.videolan.org/vlc) mozilla module to OS X. Developement on
this never really continued, basically because compiling the entire
Mozilla tree just to build a plugin on OS X was getting annoying quite
[SVG] Fed up !09 Mar 2005 18:45 GMT2

Upcoming build requirements for OS-X09 Mar 2005 16:14 GMT14
To build with SVG enabled (which we hope to turn on by default by the
next beta), OS-X needs an additional small build tool, pkgconfig.  This
is easy to install using fink:
  sudo apt-get install pkgconfig
PDF: open with preview file storage07 Mar 2005 14:07 GMT12
Good day,
When I use firefox 1.0 on OS X 10.3.7 and I open a pdf with preview,
the pdf is saved on my desktop.  After a long browsing session, my
desktop is filled with lots of temporary files.
Problem install themes and extensions07 Mar 2005 10:36 GMT2
Helped a friend, who uses Macintosh OSX, to install Firefox 1.0. Then we
tried to install themes and extensions, it seemed to download them nicely
and showed a dialogue box where we could accept installation. But then the
themes did not turn up in the list of available themes, ...
