My wife's Powerbook runs Mac OS 9.2. She's fed up with Eudora, so I figure it's time to install Thunderbird or Netscape for mail, since that's what I like. OK, so OS 9.x is too old for Mozilla to write a version of Thunderbird for it. The latest version of the Netscape

I'm using build 20040502 on a Macintosh G4. I can't subscribe to any newsgroups that contain the characters "C++" without the quotes. Is this a bug? You'd think that a bunch of coders would have noticed this bug...

I have been using the Thunderbird 0.5 for a while for newsgroup access. I have tried to use the latest Thunderbird 0.71. However, when the new Thunderbird is launched, the icon appears in the dock for 1 or 2 seconds and then disappear. It looks like the application has quited
