every time I open or switch to excel from another program, it wants to make a new blank worksheet. At least 2004 would automatically close the blank one, if I opened a previously saved worksheet.

When I want to duplicate one row, I copy, do insert copied cells -- works great, place a duplicate row above.

Hi, i have Mac Excel 2008 and am wanting to add a new column to an existing table, i have tried to do this by highlighting the last column and doing an insert new column but this only generates one new row at the heading and mucks up all my lines throughout the table ...

Upon opening a saved excel files with several merged cells in a worksheet containing several lines of text I find the cells have unmerged and some of the text has gone.
