Does anyone know how to have the autofilter not affecting a specific column? i have an excel sheet that has autofilters on most of the columns but i need to manually enter text into a new column added.

Every time I use excel it creates a new workbook on its own. Is there a preference to turn this off? Can't seem to find one anywhere
