A friend is using Excel 2007 and is experiencing a strange (and sporadic)
problem in a specific workbook.  When she clicks a cell, sometimes 2, 4 or 8
cells will automatically be selected.  She did not activate the F8 key or
sticky keys.

I've been creating finance worksheets in a free program called Open Office from OpenOffice.org. I want to import the sheets into my new Office for Mac 2008. Is this possible?

Can someone tell me how I can select multiple cells at the same time in a spreadsheet that are not adjacent (e.g. B4, C2, A1) to have the sum display in the status bar? In Windows you hold down control when selecting each but I can't figure it out in Office Mac 2008.

Hi everyone,

I have a workbook with 96 sheets, each with two columns of numbers -in
columns b and c.  The numbers are information for a frequency diagram (a
histogram) where b is the datum, and c is the frequency.  There are 256 rows
in each column.

I've looked at the document and as far as i can see there aren't any merged cells. The text is entered into individual cells. What do i do?

I'm a new Mac user, so please beare with me. I have the mac 10.5 with the 2008 office. Last night I was working with an excel spreedsheet, when finished working I close the program and computer correctly.

I'm new to VBA and Excel and have probably made an elementary error, or
several.
I'm trying to retreive  text from all the textboxes (the kind added by the
drawing toolbar) on all the sheets of multiple open workbooks.

I wanted to make an ordinary line chart. As typically I want to have the dates (years) to which my values belong on the horizontal (category) axis. In Excel 2004 this could be done in the data editor for the chart. In the tab "Series" data could be selected for the category axis labels.

I use lots of keystrokes when I work with financial modeling in microsoft excel at work. When I bought my Mac I was surprised to learn that the key strokes (for instance for formatting row height "alt+o+e" ) ...

This used to be easy: save the file, close the file, open the file and
close a window. This no longer seems to work any suggestions?
