Is there a way to disable display of the splash screen in Excel 2004 (or 2008 for that matter) when starting Excel via Applescript? This would be similar to the Excel/Windows "/embedded" command line switch - and for the same general purpose, to embed Excel functionality

os: leopard. when working in excel I can't print anything. When i go to print preview i get a blank page. when i click print my printer prints out a blank page(same as I see when I go to print preview). When I use Word everthing prints. Everything else in excel works fine.

This is a strange one. If I double click on a saved Excel 2003 workbook, it takes ages to open. If I open Excel then select the workbook, it loads immediately. Has anyone any ideas on this one?

I want to use =SUM(SUMIFS(W:W,L:L,{"DR","SS"},S:S,B5)) which works but I want the {"DR","SS"} arguement to come from a cell reference. i.e =SUM(SUMIFS(W:W,L:L,C5,S:S,B5)) where C5 is {"DR","SS"}.
