I have hundreds of Excel files created in Office 2001 format. Is there a way to convert them all to 2008 .xls format without having to individually open and save each file?

I am not given the option to add labels to the X and Y axis, why is this and can it be done and if so how. Its starting to frustrate me a little, so any help would be much appreciated.

When I create a spreadsheet with several pages very large gray page numbers appear across each page making it difficult to see cell data. How can I eliminate these large page numbers?

I have found a way of creating variables that are specific to a worksheet (rather than to all worksheets within a workbook), but it is very cumbersome and limiting. Does anyone know how to do this?
