I haven't bought Office 2008 yet. But my decision would be speeded if it were possible to open spreadsheets with macros or functions done in Excel 2004 and save those macros/functions to XML in Office 2007 format. Thye could then be brought back into Office 2008 where they should

Hello, I'm trying to create one sheet where the top third or so of the sheet will have one set of column widths, and the bottom of the sheet can have column widths that differ from the top.

Despite selecting the "quick styles" box to be displayed in the formatting palette, it does not appear. In fact, with all the available options selected the only ones that are accessible are "font", "number" ...

how do you add y error bars to data points on graph. I have a row in my data table with my standard deviation values; I just can't figure out how to put them on the graph.

I've got some large Excel 2004 .xls files (156MB) that I've converted to .xlsx files in 2008.

I need to switch the X with the Y axis in my scatter chart. This used to be as easy as clicking a "switch x and y" button when I had a pc, but now I can't figure out how to do it.

I've discovered a couple of bugs in Excel 2008 (12.0.1, running on Mac
OS X 10.5.2, 3G RAM on MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz). I'm not sure if
there's a better way to report them to Microsoft, so I'm posting them
here in the hopes they get looked at.

Here's what happened, using Office2004.
I set up some data, formulas and names in one sheet.  (By 'names' I mean
the Insert/Name/Define thing).  Call this sheet "First" , so for example
the name Range might be defined as First!A1:A10   and so on.
