Form ruler behave strangely22 Jan 2008 21:00 GMT6
This is sort of a bug that renders Excel unusable. You can reproduce the bug in very few steps. Open a blank sheet
Show the form toolbar
Create a horizontal or vertical ruler
Now try to click on the directional arrows of the ruler, or anywhere on the ruler... You'll see your
Multiple spreadsheets to PDF22 Jan 2008 18:26 GMT4
When I try printing a multiple sheet file to PDF (Acrobat 8) I seem to get exactly the (poor) result I got with Excel 2004 - namely it ends up printing one page only. Seems to go through the print process, "over-writing" as it goes along and ending up with the last page. I have tried
Allowing other users to edit documents22 Jan 2008 16:21 GMT1
How do I save spreadsheets so all users are able to edit? When I create a spreadsheet and save under "shared" users, another user can access the file, but as "read only". Thanks!
"Snap To Grid" option missing in Excel 2008?22 Jan 2008 02:15 GMT2
HiNot sure if this has been mentioned before, but I have searched to no avail....I have a grid template setup where I have to draw diagrams of housing plans. In Office 2004, there is an option to "Snap To Grid" when drawing lines in Excel (so that all lines meet up and are square
how to remove drop down list21 Jan 2008 18:48 GMT1
On an Excel sheet with many formulas I created a drop down list by mistake. I
want to delete it. I tried following the online help but the "Convert to
Range" option was not active for me.
open ArcView dbf file21 Jan 2008 18:46 GMT5
The ESRI program ArcView creates several files, one of which is a
*.dbf file.  Win Excel has no problem reading this file.  Excel 2004
for Mac won't.  Any ideas on how to open it?  Thanks.
Multiple lists21 Jan 2008 18:08 GMT1
I am making a large inventory list that I want to have available in a couple of sorted ways. One will be sorted by location, one by item, and one by category. Once this is accomplished I would like a sheet for each list, what I can't seem to do is; how do I make it so if I make a
Generating sequential numbers?21 Jan 2008 17:54 GMT2
Does anyone have an idea how I might go about creating a macro (or other solution) to enable me to generate a list of sequential numbers? I want to track an order book in an excel spreadsheet and allocate a new sequential number to each transaction.  Naturally I could just do this
Printing of Arrows21 Jan 2008 17:28 GMT2
I can't get lines with arrow points to print properly.  They look fine on screen, but when printed (either to a printer or to a PDF file), the lines are not centered relative to the arrows.  Or, the line will intersect the arrow point midway up or down the arrow lines, not where the
Excel Mac 2008 - no gradient fill for cells21 Jan 2008 16:03 GMT4
was looking forward to excel 08 to make the full switch onto the mac platform. in excel 07 (win) i created some invoice-sheets that use a light gradient fill of cells to seperate contents - that looks nice and is useful. unfortunately, excel mac 08 doesn't support gradient fills
+ vs =21 Jan 2008 15:06 GMT2
I may have inadvertently changed a setting, cause I don't remember
this happening before.
If I enter a formula using a + sign, I get the result, not the
formula.  For example, +300/3 gives a result of 100.  A control+U
Excel 2008 & OLAP cubes?21 Jan 2008 05:16 GMT4
Does anyone know whether Excel 2008 can connect to OLAP cubes? (Or
where else I could find an answer to this question?) I emailed one of
the writers of the MS Mac BU blog, but never got a response.
thanks,
Autofill bug?21 Jan 2008 05:07 GMT3
I think I might have found an autofill bug. You can't autofill a series
down closer than 2 cells above a row that has merged cells in the next
column to the right.
This also derails any applescripts (but without the error) that attempt

I have Excel Mac 2004 and want to organize specific  rows of data from different worksheets into a new worksheet.  Any suggestions on how to easily do this without cutting and pasting?  Thanks!
