In win Excel, when creating a vlookup formula, I could hit F3 and a list of defined names would appear so that I could select the right one for the table_array. What's the equivalent in Mac Excel? Thanks.

I have a heck of a time sorting, when there are swathes of space in my workbooks. (I mean intermittent rows with nothing there) For example I often want to sort by e mail so I can delete anyone without an e mail.

Is there a way to imbed a small database with, say, 50 listed words, that can be used as passwords... and then saved within the document (encrypted), and then have a timer that accesses the list, say, once each week, as a new password?

OK Molly - I'm suspecting either of 2 things as I have no problem of the sort here - PDFs or other hyperlinks open fine in Acrobat 8.1.1 or Preview. First thought: Are you *typing* the path ( HD/Documents/Tape Log Info/GIGs/07-15-94 cl gig.pdf) as you stated it in your message? If ...

Whenever I unclick the shading box for excel charts (by selecting the color in the legend) and save it, close the document, close Excel and come back to it later, all the formatting has gone back to the original (shading). How do I get rid of the shaded bars in the charts
