Pivot table loses formating on refresh11 Sep 2007 15:38 GMT4
I'm using Excel for Mac 2004 V11.3.3
I've created a pivot table, which when refreshed on my PC works fine.

Merging Workbooks in Excel 2004 for Mac09 Sep 2007 17:02 GMT1
I have been trying to splice together various pieces of VBA code off
the web for this problem, but it always seems that there's some PC-

I have a MacBook running OS 10.4.10 and I also have Office for Mac

SAVE AS default directory07 Sep 2007 21:56 GMT6
I'm running the 2004 version of Excel on a brand new PowerBook (Mac OS
X 10.4.10).  I'm frustrated because the SAVE AS function appears to
default to a silly location - logically, when you hit SAVE AS, you
would expect that it would default to saving the new file into the

Automatically Zoom Upon Opening06 Sep 2007 03:30 GMT3
Some time ago, the great folks here helped me with some code to
automatically resize worksheets to fit the screen.  I retained the code that
re-sizes sheets when the user moves from one sheet to another, but I can't
find the code that will automatically re-size the first sheet upon ...
Macro for formatting grouped rows?05 Sep 2007 21:45 GMT2
I've been playing with conditional formatting and it's not
accomplishing my task. That is, to apply a gray color band to
alternating groups similar rows in a large excel file. For example, if
all other data in the rows were different, and column E had similar

Over the Labor Day weekend, I copied an IF formula from my father's
Windows woksheet, but this formula is not working on my Mac.
Here is the formula: if(K6>L4,(.15*(min(K6,M4)-L4),0)
K6 = $20,000

Finding pesky links01 Sep 2007 14:38 GMT1

workbook to bring in data from another workbook (by VLOOKUP or just a
direct reference). Later on I'll often "freeze" the data in the new
worksheet by doing a COPY and PASTE VALUES; but sometimes I totally
