During some operations, Excel deselects (or UnSelects) a range.  How can I do
this deliberately?

I cant seem to easily see where the cursor (entry cell) is at any
given time in my xls sheet.  The borders of the cell are in pale
yellow, so it makes it very hard to see where the cell/cursor is at

So I am attempting to normalize a database. I've brought the values
into an excel sheet to help with the replace functions. MySQL may have
similar functionality, but am too unfamiliar with it. basically I have
9800 rows of values, of those there are roughly 3000 unique entries.

I know you can input infrormation in one cell and have it input the
