Can this be done? (internet search fill in)21 Feb 2007 15:30 GMT4
This newsgroup has been amazingly helpful to me in the past. Things
have gone well for a long time now, but here I am with a new 'need' and
a hope that it can be done.
I am trying to build an excel file for a family member that will list

Excel Opens Multiple Other Workbooks on Startup20 Feb 2007 18:13 GMT13
Anyone else having this issue?  Over time of repeated use Excel starts
opening workbooks that, yes were being worked on recently but were
closed before Excel was quit.  The only way I can get it to stop
opening the workbooks is to trash the preferences.  Anyone else getting

Date format changes copying and pasting between spreadsheets20 Feb 2007 17:06 GMT2
I am currently working on updating a huge spreadsheet from several
smaller ones.  All of a sudden, the large spreadsheet changed all of

Is there a way to color every other line?20 Feb 2007 02:43 GMT7
I'm wondering if there's a way to color every other line with a slight
grey color, using Normal view, in such a way that even if you Sort the
data on those lines, the grey banding still remains where they are. I
want to do this to produce an more readable document.
Monte Carlo for MS Excel 2004 for Mac20 Feb 2007 02:18 GMT1
I am looking for a program to carry out Monte Carlo simulations on the
Mac. I have previously used @risk but this does not appear to support
the Mac version of Excel.
Any suggestions, other than RiskSim, for products?
Creating an automatic List19 Feb 2007 17:32 GMT4
Hello.  Basically what I'm trying to do is have Excel complete the
list for me.  For example, I am trying to catalog an office full of
CD's starting with the # 1000, then 1001, then 1002, etc.  Do I have
to type all of these in because there are hundreds of them, or can
Excel problems: crashes/ will not save18 Feb 2007 18:57 GMT1
Am running 10.4.8 and all the latest Office updates. I'm tired of Excel
either crashing or refusing to save data that has been entered. This has
happened several times  lately. At least the last time I could take a screen
shot to re-enter the data manually later.
