A file I've been working on for some time (which will be hard to re-create
without lots of hours!) suddenly won't open.
I've tried double clicking the file and opening from within Excel, but each
time, I get the "Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to

I am probably doing something stupid, but, when I try to save a
Worksheet to CSV, I get messages saying that i can only save one page,
then one which says some features won't be saved... I go through those,
and a new Worksheet icon appears on the desktop with the .csv suffix.

I have a series of macros which cycle through identically structured
workbooks, collecting and reporting information from each. The macros
work(ed) fine in xl2001 and xl.x, but not in 2004. At first I found
that findfile had been dropped but replaced it using Dir. This works in

I'm having a hard time getting Excel to save field delimiter quote marks.
The commas are there but no quote marks.

I have an Excel file created in Excel 2003 for windows that I never

import the file as a .txt, it comes in as one big block of text. I

I save a model in excel - simple sums and totals financial model -
several times during the day and it crashed.  now the latest version is
the one I save YESTERDAY!!!!!  ARGH!!!!  What happened???  how do I fix

Hi all - I use MS Excel for Mac 2004 - I mistakenly saved over an excel file
and am still hoping (desperately) to locate a backup. I have Excel set to
save an autorecovery file every ten minutes...how can I locate the
autorecovery file?? Is there any way?? Is there another option ...
