I have found a few articles that ex-plain adequately the reason why vertically oriented text does not display across Mac and PC platforms, but there still seems to be some anomalies. If I put vertical text into a Y axis label from a Mac it displays

I tried several times to select group of cells below D1 and then do a paste in, went ok, but why always getting that dark thick bottom border? http://img332.imageshack.us/img332/8118/picture3js5.png I like the light grey lines you usually see in Excel files. Thanks.

I have a client who has sent me an excel spreadsheet as both a tab-delimited text file and .xls file. It seems that a particular column, the "description" column, has been truncated to 255 characters. This is seen in both the xls file as well as the tab-delimited text

IN times of crisis I would be able to copy this while workbook book and paste in into a fresh clean workbook. Wont work anymore. Excel freezes up, beachball comes up and does not come down.
