Help req'd with formulas: how do I total up hours using 24 hr clock28 Sep 2006 20:42 GMT7
I have a spreadsheet for my timesheets. I want to load in start times
and finish times in 24 format and have the formula work out the number
of hours, and also the number of hours of overtime (anything more than
12 hours)

Can someone explain the array function to me.  And, what is the difference of
trending data using the standard trend function, and adding an array to the
trend?

Does anyone know how to get the gridlines to display on a worksheet?
I went into the preferences menu and the display gridlines box is
checked, the color says automatic, when I change the color to  black the
gridlines reappear the way I want them to, however, when I exit out of

I have a simple spread sheet with one table. in attempting to create
pivot table from this table I am running into the following problem
(I'm running Excel 2004 v 11.2.5 under OS 10.4.7 on a MacBook Pro).
I am able to create and manipulate the pivot table and save tghe file

I have encountered problems printing spreadsheets - in that aspects
seem to reformat for no apparent reason.
For example, an accountancy column looks fine on screen, but when
printed some figures are hidden outside the cell.

I have a workbook which reproducibly crashes Excel 2004 every time I
try to delete a control contained in it.  It does not crash in Excel
2003 (Windows).  I want to report this to Microsoft but the support
site steers me to pay-per-incident.

I am experiencing a problem in Excel for Mac 2004 with Toolbar behaviour.
I use the Worksheet Menu Bar, Standard and Formating toolbars open, together
with the formula bar open at Excel startup.
When I open up a worksheet file, the file window opens up behind the

for PC you can do both and the HELP files says it is better to do it through

Does anyone know how to change the security level of macros in Excel
2004?  I found you could do it in 2003, but it looks like it no longer
exists....how can this be with all the protected spreadsheets that
people need to use to perform their jobs?  HELP!

I'm using MS Office X (NOT 2004), with the update on a Mactel iMac running
Tiger 10.7.
When I first open a worksheet and right click (or control-click) on a cell I

I've searched the archives and the help files without success.
If I print an entire workbook to PDF, Excel appears to print each page
to a separate PDF file, each time using the file name I specified. Each
page replaces the previous page, so I end up with a PDF file containing

I run Office 2004 on my Mac.  For some reason when I try to open some
files, I get the dialogue box asking me if I want to enable macros.  I
have included no macros in the file.
I then went into VB editor and openened all object and this workbook
