How Does One Backup A Spreadsheet To A Disk17 Jun 2006 20:48 GMT7
Does anyone know how to backup an Excel spreadsheet to a rewriteable
disk?
Is the only way to save a copy outside the computer is to backup the

Concatenated Dates?16 Jun 2006 21:37 GMT2
I'm trying to solve a problem whereby dates are being transferred to their
1904 system value when I don't want them to.
Let's say we have the following cells:
A1 contains 01-Mar-06      [01/03/2006 with custom format dd-mmm-yy]
Dragging to fill cells has decimal errors16 Jun 2006 20:10 GMT1
Platform:  12" iBook G4, OS X 10.4.6, Excel 11.2.3.
When I fill in part of a column with values, select those cells, and drag
the corner to fill in the rest of the column with the data, I get what
appears to be rounding errors.

Change axis lengths? Tick marks but NO axes?15 Jun 2006 20:39 GMT9
I've been reading Edward Tufte's "The Visual Display of Quantitative
Information" (which, by the way, I can whole heartedly recommend to anyone
with a personal/professional interest in statistical graphics).
Anyway, I'd love to implement some of his ideas. For example - using a

AppleScript and Office 200715 Jun 2006 01:37 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone knew how AppleScript will look like in Office
2007.  It was recordable in Office X, and then they changed it to be
more Visual Basic-like in Office 2004.  How will it look in Office
2007?
Out of Memory errors when working with Excel and InDesign14 Jun 2006 20:36 GMT5
I am working on an InDesign document that requires a lot of copying and
pasting from Excel to InDesign.
Excel is giving me frequent "Out of Memory" errors. They always come in
pairs. Two "OK" boxes to dismiss, then the copy works without incident. The
formulas not visible in formula bar14 Jun 2006 17:26 GMT5
One of my machines, a MBP 2.16 with 2 GB or ram, has been having
strange problems with Excel.  Clicking on a cell with the mouse does
not show the formual (or value) in the formula bar.  It is just blank.
If you then hit "enter" (not "return", which would move it) it shows
Excel trackpad scrolling on MacBook Pro14 Jun 2006 12:14 GMT1
I noticed this as soon as I received the MacBook (about 6 weeks ago).
If you use two fingers on the trackpad to scroll in Excel, you can't
scroll down slowly. Fast scrolling works, but trying to scroll down
slowly just scrolls upwards. Equally, while you can scroll left and
