Date format not retained when saving as Text (tab-delimited)26 Jan 2006 11:34 GMT1
Hello.  I'm a Windows Excel (Excel 2003) user, but am asking a Mac
Excel question on behalf of a friend.  He saved an Excel file as a
tab-delimited text file, but it did not properly retain the date
format.  When I (the PC-user) save an Excel file that has a column of
Progress of calculation26 Jan 2006 05:00 GMT3
With the previous version of Excel the cell value would show the
interim value during loop-driven calculations.  I found this very
useful to be able to see that things were actually happening and to
monitor the progress of calculations.

which I personally prefer and use mostly can you help please:

Can't format cells in Office Excel 2004 for Mac23 Jan 2006 22:28 GMT1
Just installed Office 2004 on my MAC G4 running OS 10.4.4
No matter what I do, I can't format numbers into currency, or for that
matter, any other format.
Am very familiar with Excel, but this stumps me.
Excel VBA MAC and PC compatibility23 Jan 2006 15:37 GMT1
I developed Excel VBA programs on PC and ... usually they don't work on
MAC!! (Last example, I had an "Error 3209 - error defined by the Application

I would appreciate if somebody could give me the address of a site giving
Save as CSV applescript problem23 Jan 2006 15:18 GMT1
I am new to applescript but have managed to write a droplet that takes

have created a second script that creates a graph in an app called
Chartsmith. To join these two scripts together I need  to save the
I was a font abuser - now...?23 Jan 2006 12:52 GMT2
I've created a multi-worksheet Excel workbook to track statistics for a

different fonts that now most often when I try to change an old font, I
get something like this message:

I'm submitting a large worksheet to client, and would like to color code

Keystroke question19 Jan 2006 23:10 GMT6
Command-F brings up "Find" in Excel for Mac. The "Find Next" button is
highlighted. Is there a keystroke that one can invoke to highlight the
"Close" button? I find it quite inconvenient to have to grab the mouse to
push the "Close" button.
