OS X Tiger 10.4.3, with Excel 2004 for Mac, v.11.2 (050714)
My formula is so simple, I could almost do it in my head, but Excel gets it
wrong!
The formula is: =E5*D1

I open Excel 2004 (version 11.0) on my Mac PowerBook running OSX
(10.4.3).
Everything looks fine.  I have the formatting toolbar set on the left
and vertical.

I've got a decent sized list - about 2,000 rows - with a low and
high columns. For space reasons, I would like to combine the two
columns and have their contents show in one column with two lines of
text. These are dollar amounts ranging from $100 to $1,000,000.

I have done a good bit of searching on this group and it looks like a
lot of people are suffering from this issue, but there doesn't seem to
be an answer.
