I have a worksheet with a large number of tabs, in several categories. Each category was segregated visually in Excel for Windows, but on opening the workbook in Office for Mac, this was lost. Most frustrating.

I'm stumped. How is it possible (or *is* it possible) to put a carriage return inside a cell? What I want to know is how to make a second line in a cell, but without it doing so by means of automatic wrapping. I want to break the line where *I* want it. Is there a way to do this? ...

What would make Excel take an unusually long time to quit? This has begun after I reinstalled the OS and after replaced logic board and hard drive (thank you Apple Care). OS 10.3.9 and Excel OSX

I am running an old version of Excel 98 for MAC on a G3 PowerMac using 9.2.2. I have a new Apple Cinema Display. Now when I open excel and select an existing worksheet. only the toll bar is visible. I have to go to Window on the toolbar and hit "new window" to view the worksheet ...

I have a sheet with results generated by other worksheets. Depending on certain values, I would like selected rows to be hidden. For example, three different sets of results are shown respectively in rows 1-10, 11-20, 21-30.

I opened a spreadsheet that I have formatted to use general numbers and percentage. For some reason, the general number cells have a decimal in it. I format the cells for general and they put a decimal point in it. This is frustrating because all I want to show is whole numbers. ...

IF(A1=0,0,"") The problem is that if A1 is empty the 0 appears as well. I have formatted A1 both as text and number with no difference. There must be a way to differentiate the zero from an empty cell but it isn't
