Windows to Mac transition07 Apr 2005 02:30 GMT1
I am one frustrated converter.  I miss the fact that in Windows I can avoid
using the mouse except for formatting.  I have found many of the similar
keyboard shortcuts (after much exploring) BUT I haven¹t found anyway to
access the Menu bar directly on a mac without using the *@$# ...

Avoiding ³Select²
I¹ve done this so often before, doing something without actually going there

cannot work out how to use it for my needs which are:
Where X = a numeral from 1 to 9

don't even go halfway across my desktop. I have tried grabbing the
Conditional Formatting bug?04 Apr 2005 15:45 GMT3
I've discovered a bug in the conditional formatting in Mac Office 2004

OfficeX Excel Oddness03 Apr 2005 16:19 GMT2
I have OfficeX and have a problem in Excel. The Formatting Pallette has
started disappearing below the bottom of the screen. It is completely
unclickable below the bottom right part of the screen. This occurrs on
all spreadsheets and started after doing a back up with Carbon Copy
Close the find box with a command key?02 Apr 2005 21:53 GMT6
Microsoft, bless their hearts, has decided that in Excel the "Find"
dialog is modal. Worse, command-W doesn't close the find dialog. Even
worse, NO command key equivalent closes the find dialog. In desperation,
I tried to make an Applescript that would do it.
Grouping in Pivot Tables02 Apr 2005 16:06 GMT1
I hope someone can help me with this. I have a pivot table that tracks
golf scores for a number of players on a number of courses. Players
runs down the side (i.e., row headings), date across the top (column
headings) and course is the page heading. The data section contains

Every time is the first time01 Apr 2005 04:25 GMT1
Every time I open Excel it thinks this is the first time. I've tried
throwing away the preferences, which works once, then it goes back to
telling me that this is the first time.
I'm running Excel 11.1.1 and Mac OS X 10.3.8 on an iMac G5.
