I am one frustrated converter. I miss the fact that in Windows I can avoid using the mouse except for formatting. I have found many of the similar keyboard shortcuts (after much exploring) BUT I haven¹t found anyway to access the Menu bar directly on a mac without using the *@$# ...

My Formatting palete opens way off screen where I can't get to it with the pointer to drag it back. I've increased my screen resolution to see if I can see it , but nooo. Any suggestion?

I have OfficeX and have a problem in Excel. The Formatting Pallette has started disappearing below the bottom of the screen. It is completely unclickable below the bottom right part of the screen. This occurrs on all spreadsheets and started after doing a back up with Carbon Copy

Microsoft, bless their hearts, has decided that in Excel the "Find" dialog is modal. Worse, command-W doesn't close the find dialog. Even worse, NO command key equivalent closes the find dialog. In desperation, I tried to make an Applescript that would do it.

I'm nit sure how to use Onkey I would like to be able to enter a single character into, or pass over, each cell of a 9x9 box - the while/wend to set across and down is no prob but will Onkey terminate at the end of the proceedure - it must or I'm in

Every time I open Excel it thinks this is the first time. I've tried throwing away the preferences, which works once, then it goes back to telling me that this is the first time. I'm running Excel 11.1.1 and Mac OS X 10.3.8 on an iMac G5.
