Adding multiple lines of text to a cell20 Apr 2005 22:25 GMT5
Is there a way, in excel, to add multiple lines of text to a cell?
For example, I want to add a few bullet points (need hard return) but I want
them to all appear within one cell.
Thanks!

Anyone know if it is possible to add a sinusoidal trendline to data in
Excel. Is it in any add-on?

Loss of macro function moving from Excel 98 to Excel 200419 Apr 2005 22:57 GMT4
Some macros that I have put together using Excel in Office for Mac 98
do not achieve the same effect when run in Excel 2004 for Mac.
I am a high school science teacher and I use these macros to
demonstrate scientific principles to students by moving excel shapes on
Grouping19 Apr 2005 22:15 GMT1
I have no idea how this happened, but I grouped all the worksheets in my
spreadsheet together. The Size, Rotation and Ordering tab is not showing up
in my formatting palette (I even tried de and reselecting it under the
customization tab and it's still not there). When I go to
problem with a macro reading from a spreadsheet19 Apr 2005 20:59 GMT1
I have written a VBA macro that reads values from spreadsheets in
closed workbooks as part of its routine.  The macro works fine,
however, the spreadsheets being read are automatically generated by a
MATLAB application.  That application basically writes tab delimited
Trapping Events with a Class Module19 Apr 2005 19:45 GMT2
Some of our users frequently need to combine worksheets from several
sources into a single workbook.  Some of the worksheets come from files
that originated on the mac; some from files that originated on a PC.
All of the files contain lots of dates.  Because different date ...
Patternmatch19 Apr 2005 16:05 GMT5
I am trying to create a list of all the files in a particular directory
(including subdirectories).
The Patternmatch property of the FileFind object looks like it should
do the trick.
Export to Excel from browser on Mac19 Apr 2005 14:24 GMT1
On PCs you can right click in a table and export it straight to Excel.
How do you do it on a Mac?  I control Clicked on the tables and it only
gives me the option to save it.  I tried in Safari first and then tried
in IE and it still didn't have an option to export to Excel.
Variables19 Apr 2005 13:57 GMT1
Variables
Having only scant knowledge of the use of different types Visual Basic
variables* please direct me to a site where variable types are listed with
an outline of why/where each is used - are they always defined at the
Templates from Mactopia v. Office.Microsoft18 Apr 2005 23:16 GMT7
Why is it that I can open the files from the Mactopia site
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/resources/templates.aspx?pid=list&cat=2&scat=3
&catname=Finance%20Tools>, but when I download and attempt to unstuff the

shell18 Apr 2005 22:32 GMT1
I'd like to take a look at that first shell doc that Lilly sent you that
had code in it.  I seem to recall that they somehow disabled certain
commands and menu items, and seeing how they did it might help me solve
an unrelated problem.  Could you please point me in the right ...
sorting question18 Apr 2005 20:54 GMT2
In a column that has blanks and text, how can I make the blank entries appear
before the text entries.?
Sorting ascending or descending leaves the text entries always at the
beginning.  Entering a space works but that would affect formulas already

Selecting a range within a sorted range (Applescript)15 Apr 2005 19:24 GMT1
I'm having a problem working with ranges.
Suppose you have a column of 15 cells, range A1:A15, where 9 have cell
value "apple", 4 have value "plum", and 2 have value "peach", all mixed
up. You don't know how many pieces of fruit you have -- it could be 10,

The last few days I've seen an error message appear immediately after
quitting MS Excel. It happens to all Excel files. I'm using MS Excel from
