I have no macros at all in an Excel 2004 for Mac workbook. But
everytime I open the file I get the Macro warning asking if I want to
enable / disable Macros. This is really annoying. I am sure I have no
Macros because nothing appears whe I click tools->Macros. There are no

I have a check ledger program that the data in the cell can be either a
date or a check number. When I enter the date, I would like for it to
come up as 4/26 and not 26-Apr. Is there a way to make Excel use a
different format than the 26-Apr format? The cells are defaulted to

I am using Office X for Mac, SR 1.  AutoRecovery is turned on in both
Word and Excel.
AutoRecovery works for Word but not Excel.
I find that the AutoRcover saved Word document is in the Microsoft User

I am looking for some help in translating some old Excel files.  I am
running Excel 98 on a Macintosh OS 8.6.  The program won't convert such old
files.  I am getting little help from utilities like Can Opener, etc.  I

i have been working on a large database and suddenly I get a message
saying: unable to sort because operation requires merged files need to
be identically sized. I have no idea what this means. I can sort parts

I'm using Exel 2004 (Macintosh version). Excel offer a tutorial in
using the list manager in the Help menu.
In this tutorial  the example show how to define the columns and enter
data. This is all fine.

Is there a way I can get a userform to run without having to open up
the VB editor and run it.  More specifically, I would like to get the
userform to run when I open up the Excel file it is in.  Right now, I
