The following snipped doesn't return anything. Item_num is undefined.

from Office 2001 ---> 2004, column widths messed up19 Mar 2005 14:44 GMT3
I created a file in Excel for Mac 2001 (System 9) that uses the
following column widths: 5, 6, 7.5 (measured in units). The file also
has a picture (JPEG photo) inserted which is 4.75" W x 3.38" H.
When I upgraded to Excel for Mac 2004 and opened this file for the
Using Cut reprograms formulas19 Mar 2005 10:09 GMT1

the formula is modified to reflect the new position in the spreadsheet
as to where the columns lies. I want the formula to stay use the same
reference cells as I paste a new set of numbers and want to see the
Keystroke to edit data in selected cell18 Mar 2005 20:40 GMT3
Does anyone know what key to hit to edit data within the cell that you
have selected?  (Excel v.x) For example, a cell that already has text
in it is selected by mouse click or arrow key. To edit the current text
in the cell you have to either double click the cell, or click up in
Tools added to toolbar not working18 Mar 2005 15:01 GMT2
I recently upgraged to Office 2004 for Mac.  I customized my toolbars
with a few tools that I use regularly, and some are not working.
Specifically, the insert rows, and insuer columns tool.  When I drag my
cursor over other tools, a box appears around them, but with tese two,
macro that reads data from a closed workbook17 Mar 2005 20:49 GMT1
I am trying to write a macro that can read data from a closed workbook
and use this data to fill a listbox in a userform.  I am having trouble
with reading the data from the closed workbook.  I know on a PC I can
use the ActiveX Data Objects library and use ADODB.connection and
exposing formulas in cells16 Mar 2005 19:27 GMT3
I need to expose the formulas in my cells explicitly instead of showing the
formulas' calculated value.  The Help says to use CONTROL+'.  This is
supposed to apply to the whole worksheet, but it only seems to work for a
specific cell and only temporarily.  As soon as I move to ...
Turning off List Manager15 Mar 2005 11:41 GMT1
In the database I use extensively, one of my interns turned on the List
Manager.  I now cannot insert a new column, or move column to other
places.  Is there a way to 1) get rid of the List Manager and how 2)
insert new columns in the middle of the existing database?  I have
can't print15 Mar 2005 06:34 GMT7
Excel refuses to print saying there is no printer selected. The 'Print'
button is grayed out. Other programs recognize my HP970cxi default
printer just fine.
Have latest HP driver, Office X, latest Panther updates, TiBook G4.
Converting formulae into text entries13 Mar 2005 17:45 GMT3
One of my students has given me a problem that I can’t find an answer
to.  She has a worksheet that contains many rows of stock codes in a
single column.  These codes were supposed to to have a + sign in front
such as +GMDJEXT, +GMD--BY.  However for some reason, they ended up as
Recovering a document13 Mar 2005 15:54 GMT1
I accidently overwrote an excel document. And, then I accidently threw
it in the trash and emptied the trash.
The document must be in the memory of my computer. How do I retrieve
it?
Keyboard shortcuts not the same as PC version13 Mar 2005 15:50 GMT1
I use Excel on a PC at work, and use the Alt "underlined letter in Menu"
shortcut method for nearly everything.  Is this feature available on the Mac
version of Excel 2004?  My productivity on the Mac version is poor compared
to PC version because of this.
Can anyone explain this, please!12 Mar 2005 14:45 GMT7
In an Excel worksheet with data entered into all the cells from A1 to
H8, the following code behaves as one might expect:
tell application "Microsoft Excel"
first row index of (used range of sheet 1 of active workbook)
Targus USB keypad11 Mar 2005 16:58 GMT6
I am having trouble using a Targus USB keypad with Excel.  It works fine
with Word, however when I use it to input numbers in Excel, the numbers
promptly disappear.  Has anyone else run into this problem?  Is there a
workaround for this?
not sure if my last post went through11 Mar 2005 15:16 GMT7
Sorry, when I clicked post it said not enough memory, so just to be
safe I am posting again....
