I am having a problem with excel hanging up will sorting colums in a spreadsheet. The sheet is about 12000 lines long. When ever I sort a column it crunches for 30 minutes before it completes. In my pc world it takes all of 5 seconds Please help

I am designing some spreadsheet tools on a Mac that will be used by a primarily Windows Laptop audience. When I sent my first draft for review, the sheets that fit perfectly in my Powerbook monitor were oversized for the PC by about 150%.
