I have a list of 4,075 names that I need number in the colum next to it in consecutive order. Is there a command that I can use to create this ordered list so that I do not have to input each, individual value? Any help would be appreciated

Have files created on a Windows machine in Excel 5/7. The tables have many entries with decimal points. On opening the files in Excel X for the Mac, the decimal points are gone!

Switched over from PC to mac on the PC, I had my "Personal.xls" (macros) and "excel11.xlb" (toolbar) files in an XLstart folder that autolaunched the files when I started excel and which saved changed settings to when I closed
