Hello I am having a problem with an Excel file.  It says "Unable to
Read File"

I have a list of 4,075 names that I need number in the colum next to it
in consecutive order.  Is there a command that I can use to create this
ordered list so that I do not have to input each, individual value?
Any help would be appreciated

Previously saved workbooks whose tops butted up to the bottom of the lowest
toolbar up to the past few weeks, now open out of position partially hidden

I can figure out how to do a schedule showing start and end times to
calculate hours worked, however, I have to subtract the half hour break time
to arrive at total hours to pay the employee. If I put -.50 and then add the
two cells together, I get a result of -.5 which clearly is ...

using excel - if I enter text into a field which results in the text
flowing over into multiple lines - the field lookd grest on the screen,
but when I print or print preview the lines of text step two characters
to the left every line. Hence the text dissappears off top the left ...

I'm trying to port a PC VBA app to MAC Excel v.X
So far I've found the following things which ain't there on the MAC:
-VBmodeless parameter for a dialog box (bummer)
-Source property of a list box control of a dialog box, so one could have it

I am using EXCEL V on OS 10.3.7 on 550mhz titanium powerbook.  I have a
large sheet (2500 rows x 90 columns).  I am copying values from one
column to another.

I am working on a project where I need word and excel to talk to each
other.  I don't know if this should go in the Word users group or the
Excel users group, so I will post it in both (I'm new to users groups,

I was hoping to find some support on this issue. When ever I open an
existing pivot table or create a new pivot table I am not given the
option of the field drop-down arrows. I really need to have these
available for reporting and sorting purposes but can't figure out how

how do i prevent entries in first column on page one running into first

Have files created on a Windows machine in Excel 5/7.  The tables have
many entries with decimal points.
On opening the files in Excel X for the Mac, the decimal points are
gone!

Switched over from PC to mac
on the PC, I had my "Personal.xls" (macros) and "excel11.xlb" (toolbar)
files in an XLstart folder that autolaunched the files when I started
excel and which saved changed settings to when I closed

One of my programs that has worked fine before just suddenly stopped
working on two different Macs with Office 2004 and OS 10.3.8 -
something in a recent Apple auto software update maybe?
