From Eudora to Thunderbird or Mail25 Nov 2007 21:49 GMT2
I haven't been following the transition of Eudora to Thunderbird.
I am a long time Eudora user (10 years plus) and looking for any "good"
articles or reviews on moving to Thunderbird or Apple's Mail.
Thanks for any info.

Good-bye Eudora20 Nov 2007 05:27 GMT3
After using some version or the other of Eudora for 10+ years, I'm
finally bailing to Thunderbird. (Heck, even the Eudora developers have
switched...)

[Q] How to debug filtering18 Nov 2007 07:59 GMT2
I know there is some command for tracing witch filters are used with a
particular email. But I don't remember witch command it is.

Icon for Inbox17 Nov 2007 18:06 GMT1
Due to changes at my server (perhaps having something to do with going
from POP to IMAP), I now have a box named In, for which there is an
icon up top, and a box named Inbox with no icon. Some mail goes to In,
some mail goes to Inbox. I can reach the Inbox only by going to
Truncated Subject in Header15 Nov 2007 10:07 GMT4
The Subject text in my mailbox message listing gets cut off at about 60
characters. Is there a way to increase the number of characters that are
displayed?
I'm using Eudora 6.2.4 on a PPC G4 Mac.
Authentication mess15 Nov 2007 09:54 GMT2
You'd make a great detective, Kathy. I did misspell a user name.
But I'm still not out of the woods.
My address book and my mailboxes do not open when I start Eudora from
the dock.
Authentication (password) mess15 Nov 2007 01:27 GMT3
This is probably tied to my previous problem where Eudora could not find
the correct
 settings file.
I find it manually in the Eudora folder.
Esoteric settings15 Nov 2007 01:00 GMT2
A frieind suggests that I set up an error log by using esoteric settings.
I have loked at the Eudora.com site, and cannot follow the instructions
for esoteric settings.
How does one do it?
end of file error message13 Nov 2007 20:04 GMT1
I continue to have sluggishness and crashes with Eudora 6.4.2,
Leopard, and my pre-intel G5.  The message I'm getting a lot is Error
-39  end of file reached.
Any ideas??
Eudora 6.2.4 on Leopard13 Nov 2007 17:07 GMT20

Thanks in advance,

Eudora does not recognize correct backup08 Nov 2007 11:20 GMT2
I've kicked this one around before and have had lots of well-meaning
advice, I hope this time I get an answer from Kathy Morgan.
When I start Eudora, it picks the wrong backup file so I have to go into
my desktop and puck a backup that refers to yesterday's activity. It
How does one encode attachments of text documents in Eudora on a Mac so PCs can read them from emails?08 Nov 2007 09:43 GMT8
The subject says it.
I am trying to find some sort of formatting or compression of text file
attachments that most PC's can access. I have Stuffit 9.0, so I can zip
files or use UU or tar or several other codings, but a significant
