| From Eudora to Thunderbird or Mail | 25 Nov 2007 21:49 GMT | 2 |
I haven't been following the transition of Eudora to Thunderbird. I am a long time Eudora user (10 years plus) and looking for any "good" articles or reviews on moving to Thunderbird or Apple's Mail. Thanks for any info.

| Good-bye Eudora | 20 Nov 2007 05:27 GMT | 3 |
After using some version or the other of Eudora for 10+ years, I'm finally bailing to Thunderbird. (Heck, even the Eudora developers have switched...) Some notes in case other people are doing this:

| Icon for Inbox | 17 Nov 2007 18:06 GMT | 1 |
Due to changes at my server (perhaps having something to do with going from POP to IMAP), I now have a box named In, for which there is an icon up top, and a box named Inbox with no icon. Some mail goes to In, some mail goes to Inbox. I can reach the Inbox only by going to

| Truncated Subject in Header | 15 Nov 2007 10:07 GMT | 4 |
The Subject text in my mailbox message listing gets cut off at about 60 characters. Is there a way to increase the number of characters that are displayed? I'm using Eudora 6.2.4 on a PPC G4 Mac.

| Authentication mess | 15 Nov 2007 09:54 GMT | 2 |
You'd make a great detective, Kathy. I did misspell a user name. But I'm still not out of the woods. My address book and my mailboxes do not open when I start Eudora from the dock.

| Authentication (password) mess | 15 Nov 2007 01:27 GMT | 3 |
This is probably tied to my previous problem where Eudora could not find the correct settings file. I find it manually in the Eudora folder.

| Esoteric settings | 15 Nov 2007 01:00 GMT | 2 |
A frieind suggests that I set up an error log by using esoteric settings. I have loked at the Eudora.com site, and cannot follow the instructions for esoteric settings. How does one do it?

| Eudora does not recognize correct backup | 08 Nov 2007 11:20 GMT | 2 |
I've kicked this one around before and have had lots of well-meaning advice, I hope this time I get an answer from Kathy Morgan. When I start Eudora, it picks the wrong backup file so I have to go into my desktop and puck a backup that refers to yesterday's activity. It

The subject says it. I am trying to find some sort of formatting or compression of text file attachments that most PC's can access. I have Stuffit 9.0, so I can zip files or use UU or tar or several other codings, but a significant
