Using Eudora 6.2.4b4 Sometimes I begin to type in name of recipient but another address shows up for someone I've emailed once or twice and who's not in my address book.

My copy of Eudora 6.2.3 under OS X 10.2 crashed on me Monday night when downloading messages. I restarted, and I could tell that Eudora was trying to rebuild the table of contents, which the log confirms as below (these didn't appear as error messages).

| What features do we like about Eudora? | 26 Oct 2006 07:27 GMT | 31 |
I have been using Eudora for many years, and have come to rely on its features, many of which have no equivalent in other mail clients. Now the Penelope project is saying they want input on what features we (the users) regard as most important. It might be worth compiling a

| Eudora 6.2.4: No Services? | 20 Oct 2006 13:21 GMT | 2 |
Since the update to 6.2.4 (by the way: it's still paid version although I paid more than one year ago) none of the services in the Eudora menu seem

See the short TidBITS article: http://emperor.tidbits.com/webx/?50@382.uFgFba7FrRQ@.3c804d7a (TidBITS = highly recommended reading for any mac user, especially power users or aspiring power users).

| Some good news about 6.2.4 | 16 Oct 2006 02:52 GMT | 2 |
Despite the fact that I am well past the 2 year anniversary of my last payment to Qualcomm, installing the final release left me in paid mode anyway. I guess they didn't quite have the chutzpah to charge for a minor update after promising a major one for so long.

| How to delete recipients? | 15 Oct 2006 22:15 GMT | 5 |
I have a wonderful list of recipients in my "New message to," "Forward to," and "Redirect to" pull-down menus under the "Message" tab. Some have died. Some ha offended me and I no longer wish to contact them. But I do not know how to eliminate them.

| What are "Word Services"? | 14 Oct 2006 21:48 GMT | 1 |
When drafting a message or reply in Eudora, I'd like to have some added text editing capabilities, with global Find and Replace high on the list. Can "Word Services" do this? I have Eudora 6.2.3 at present, and BBEdit, TextEdit, and possibly Nisus Writer Express as the text ...

My experience is that using this crashes Eudora immediatly. Do you have similar unpleasantness ? If not, what can I try? Gérald

| Sending gives problems... | 13 Oct 2006 13:45 GMT | 6 |
Yesterday I was somewhere else with my TiBook. I sent email over an ethernet cable via an ADSL-modem. The mail didn't leave fluently, haven't a clue why. I did fiddle (indeed, out of lazy ignorance) with the Allow authorisation tick.

| Eudora 6.2.4: No Filter Reports? | 13 Oct 2006 13:36 GMT | 1 |
Eudora 6.2.4 does not generate filter reports anymore. That is _very_ annoying. I checked my settings: Miscellaneous has "Generate Filter Reports" ticked.

| Sponsored mode REQUIRES 6.2.4? | 13 Oct 2006 02:42 GMT | 6 |
Maybe I'm the only one a bit sad to hear about Qualcomm retiring the Eudora codebase (but maybe not). I'm curious about one thing in Qualcomm's announcement [ http://eudora.com/faq/ ]. "Sponsored mode users that upgrade to Eudora version 7.1 for Windows and

| .Mac Account Failure | 04 Oct 2006 15:15 GMT | 10 |
I'm trying to set up a .Mac account in Eudora paid on my iMac Intel, and also on my Treo 650 with Chattermail. The settings recommended by Apple's support page don't work. My account is <dave28c@mac.com>, and I've always understood that is user
