I post in another NewsGroup which is regularly flooded with spam
and I'm trying to advise another poster how to reset that newsgroup
so as to purge the spam.
Unfortunately (for present purposes) she uses Eudora on a mac

Some of the messages have the Who, Date and Subject in Italics.
How did they get that way and how do I change them back to regular text?

Could someone tell me if it is possible to transfer my Eudora emails
from OS9.1 to a new machine with OS 10.3.9?

How does one set the ftp helper app with Eudora 6.2.3 on a Mac running
OS 10.4.5?  Somehow, Eudora seems to have fixated on Fugu as my ftp app
when Fugu only handls sftp.  I would like to reset Eudora to use the
Finder itself.  Or a web browser like DeerPark.  I can't seem to find

I have used Eudora for almost 10 years now and have moved mail and
addresses to other mail programs and now back to Eudora. The addresses
from other mail programs are in folders under my Eudora Nickname folder
in the left hand column of the address book. I thought I would just

Some entries that were deleted in the Address book are still showing up
under the "New Message To" menu.

Just thinking about going down from 6.2.3 in Sponsored Mode to an
earlier version. Maybe 6.1.1. Why? The frequently reported problem as
mentioned in Eudora forums of  6.2.3 saying it's not receiving ads when
it most certainly is. I've had one experience of it going from Sponsored

Sometimes, when I hit the Queue button I'll get Eudora's list of labels
(those colors and numbers). It's happened with previous versions of
Eudora and I'm not sure how many previous versions of the OS. I'm using
Eudora 6.2.3 and OSX 10.4.5. I've used OSX 10.3.9 and 9.2.2 and earlier

On message windows there is a little icon of a Eudora mailbox to the
right of the green button that maximizes that window. What does it do?
Add the address of the sender to the address book? I've clicked on it
but not found the addresses in my address book.

Before I went from Eudora Pro 5.whatever I had to 6.2 (current app) I
recall being able to apply a setting so that my replies showed up to a
recipient with a ">" or some other indicator, making it easy to tell
who said what, even with several levels of nesting.

Once in a while, Eudora wants to connect to fatboy-vip.qualcomm.com.
Does anybody know why?
