I use the Mac OSX "tink" alert sound for just about everything on my Mac. A few minutes ago, I heard a "tring" sound that I'd never heard before (like tink with several syllables, like a quiet phone ringing). I thought it was a hardware problem or something and put my ear down

Whenever Eudora filters downloaded messages (IMAP), Eudora becomes almost unresponsive. If I'm typing a new message, I have to wait until it stops. It seems to me that this wasn't always so. Might have been before I updated Eudora, but I sure long for the time when typing took ...

It used to be that I could get on line, write a new message and send immediately. Lately, when I try to send a message I get an error message. If I check the mail for incoming messages first, everything works fine, but can't send message without doing the mail check first.

I have a problem fetching mail with Eudora. The problem started at Mon Jan 23 20:15:51 2006. According to the log file Eudora fetched three messages from my pop account and after that it produced the following error message:

A while back I saw a utility that would show counts of new mail in folders, instead of/in addition to, the Eudora Inbox. It was cheap and seemed to be scriptable, in that one could have it open all mailboxes with new mail in them, or select specific boxes, etc. Does anyone know ...

Has anybody heard anything regarding an ETA for Eudora 7.0 for Mac OS? The Windows version is out. Also, any info if there will be better OS X integration? OS X has been out four years now and there should be better integration than there has been for the past several releases ...

After I prepare a Eudora msg with some simple formatting (e.g., some boldface or italic text markup), any way to Save it to disk, Print to a file, or Copy/Paste the text to an app like TextEditor, with this formatting preserved -- e.g., in Rich Text Format?

I have a number of smtp servers. One of my personalities requires a login name, password and a different port number for the smtp server. Is there a way I can configure this, while keeping my default port, etc for other personalities?

is there any way to specify a different port for contacting the smtp server from within Eudora? At the moment I cant use my usual cable company smtp server because the cable modem is out for the weekend (again) because Time-Warner sucks. and, I can't send to my web server's smtp ...
