I seem to remember an option in past versions of Eudora to make the mail
sending progress show in front of everything, but I don't see it in the
v.6.2 settings. Does anyone know how to do this? It would be nice to see

I've been using Eudora for Macintosh as my email client for the past
five years. I have two accounts, one on world.std.com and the other on
verizon.net (originally bellatlantic.net). Currently I'm running Eudora
6.0 on Mac OS 10.3.7.

My husband uses Eudora 5 (sponsored) on his Mac (OS9) and Outlook on his
Windows XP machine at work. He wants me to install Eudora at work
because he hates Outlook. Most of his contacts are the same at home and
office, so can I just drop a copy of his Eudora Address Book file ...

Every few months, when I check my mail with command-M (or clicking on
the "check mail" icon in the toolbar), Eudora flashes for only a split
second but does not say I have new mail (even though the utility
PopMonitor shows I have mail)? But if I check mail by doing an

I regulary write someone whose e-mail address is @verizon.net.
All my mail to her is returned as undeliverable because Eudora changes
verizon into nerizon.

Kathy: I thought I would mention here that a new version of TypeIt4Me
has been written that seems to have completely eliminated the problems I
referred to in postings a while back. It's available from

For many years, I have relied on being able to access files sent to me
by finding the original e-mail, then opening the attachment. It is much
more practical than trying to remember the individual file names.

I saw some emails being downloaded via the Progress Taskbar but but
could not find them in the In Mailbox. I have finally located them in
the Junk mailbox.
