| Pasting styled text into a message | 27 Feb 2005 11:39 GMT | 5 |
I find myself fairly often copying stuff from a document and pasting it into a Eudora message window. This has the side effect that the pasted text keeps the font, size and style characteristics. Now sometimes this is what I want to do, but other times all I want is plain

| Taking Eudora to a new machine | 26 Feb 2005 08:09 GMT | 2 |
I have been using Eudora for many years, and have a lot of mail and a lot of filters defined to do things with the messages. Some of the filters put attachments in subfolders of the Attachments folder to keep related attachments together.

I just spoke with a user whose Eudora (v6.0.2, but that didn't matter) had trashed all his accumulated email from years. He was innocently cleaning his Inbox a bit. He selected a few messages and pressed the DEL key. Properly, Eudora transferred the messages to

| Filter out inline GIFs? | 21 Feb 2005 14:48 GMT | 10 |
I've been getting an increasing amount of spam with inline GIFs. It's a nuisance to have to trash the GIFs before I open the spam (and I only open it because I have to in order to report it through SpamCop). Is there any way to write a filter to trash the GIFs?

I am trying to help a customer set up Eudora 6.2 on Mac OS X to retrieve email from her own pop account associated with her web site and use SBC's SMTP server to send out mail. I've got the setup to retrieve mail working - I just can't figure out the proper settings to use SBC's ...

| Recent Mail.app convert, questions | 17 Feb 2005 19:44 GMT | 1 |
I'm a longtime Eudora user who recently converted to Mail.app. I also converted from POP3 to IMAP at the same time, so it was a pretty big change, both technically and in my way of thinking / organizing. I have some questions that I hope some other recent converts can

| using settings file on another Mac | 16 Feb 2005 10:01 GMT | 13 |
As a long time user of Eudora on Macs, it is a bit frustrating to figure this out as a OSX user. I copied my eudora settings folder over my home LAN to an iMac 1.25GHz iLamp model. This settings folder is working fine on my other two G4s

| Corrupted message | 16 Feb 2005 02:13 GMT | 4 |
Innaresting. I subscribed to news.individual.net tonight (they are going from free to subscription- at €10 a year it's superb value). I got several confirmatory emails from the payment agency (Firstgate, a German Paypal-alike). One of them was large enough (over my 20k limit) to

| Eudora filter isn't working correctly | 15 Feb 2005 16:02 GMT | 15 |
I have a filter to check whether my email address is in the "To:" field, and if not, send the message to the trash. By changing my system clock and then filtering, I've determined that this one filter is sending messages from one acquaintance into the trash. Yet right

| Damn Comcast | 15 Feb 2005 11:42 GMT | 2 |
I installed Comcast cable modem on my PowerBook G4 running 10.3.7 and Eudora 6.2. Now when I click on a URL it opens with Explorer rather than Safari. I have tried to change the default from Explorer to Safari. I found that

| Eud 5.2.1 under X 10.2.8-- Firewall-protected? | 15 Feb 2005 04:38 GMT | 7 |
Hi. For a couple of years I have been running Eudora 5.2.1 under Mac OS 9.2.2. Recently I moved to OS X 10.2.8. To allow my existing Eud 5.2.1 to execute under X 10.2.8, I followed Wade's suggestion of making an alias of the Eudora Settings folder within my OS 9's System Folder, and

| Address book ordering in 6.2 | 11 Feb 2005 23:02 GMT | 7 |
I recently upgraded from Eudora 6.1.1 to 6.2 (on Mac OS X 10.3.7). I have some aliases in my address book that each contain multiple addresses, and until this upgrade I had these lists of addresses ordered however I wanted. Since the upgrade, Eudora insists on ordering them in

| Where do I install plugins? | 06 Feb 2005 23:55 GMT | 17 |
I'm trying to get the Esoteric plugin or Sleekaboo to work on 6.1 on 10.3.7, but can't seem to get them to register no matter where they're placed. What am I doing wrong? And are there any good pages of OSX plugins to browse through?
