Changing column order in mailboxes17 Nov 2004 20:14 GMT3
I'm new to Eudora and just tring to set it up.  One thing I can't see
how to do is changing the order in which the columns are displayed in
the mailboxes - in Netscape it's done by dragging the column headings
but in Eudora this doesn't seem to work. I've tried holding down
No more updates for OS 9X17 Nov 2004 04:01 GMT25
From the eudora website:
Mac OS 9.x
We do not plan to update Eudora for Mac Classic. We will continue to make
Eudora 6.1 available for download and sale for Mac Classic users.
Open mailbox but not sound alert?17 Nov 2004 00:47 GMT4
I am using 6.2 on OS X 10.3.6. I have the normal alert on for incoming
emails, but I want certain mails to go into their mailboxes, the mailbox
to open, but I don't want the normal alert.
I can almost do this with filters. I have this sequence of actions:
Repeated crashes16 Nov 2004 18:09 GMT3
OS 9.2
Eudora 6.1 {latest}
On this one machine Eudora repeatedly crashes while grabbing mail.
This corrupts most of the mailboxes each time. All other apps are OK.
Deleting old server?16 Nov 2004 15:54 GMT2
I just recently terminated an account with my DSL provider (I kept a
different dial-up account the whole time) and my Eudora (6.1) keeps
checking for email from it...I changed all the settings to just the
dial-up's servers, in Internet Config as well, so I can't figure out

Filters (why do they sometimes not work?)15 Nov 2004 19:57 GMT1
Are there tricks spammers can use to avoid Eudora filters? (or things I
need to do to make filters fully effective?)
I will sometimes Kill a Subject string in a newsgroup window, usually
trimming it down to just a key word or two to try to catch additional
No Spell checking in 6.215 Nov 2004 07:08 GMT2
Although I have installed 6.2 twice, I still have no spelling
dictionary. How can I get one?
Extra spelling dictionaries14 Nov 2004 23:32 GMT3
I've installed a foreign-language spelling dictionary in my copy of
Eudora 6.1. I'm probably going to update to 6.2 in the next week or two,
but now I can't remember how to access and save the extra dictionary so
as to reinstall it in the newer version. Can anyone help? For that
Any experience with Spamnix plugin "Attach Reminder?"14 Nov 2004 17:14 GMT6
I'm thinking about trying the Spamnix plugin "Attach Reminder."  Has
anyone tried it?  What do you think about it?  I have a terrible time
remembering to actually attach my supply requests when I send what
purports to be a supply request.  It has happened so often that it's
Lost messages11 Nov 2004 22:00 GMT4
I am finding messages on my e-mail account on Netscape that have never
come through in Eudora.
I want them in Eudora. What do I do?
Turning off graphical emoticons11 Nov 2004 21:05 GMT2
Eudora 'helpfully' changes smileys, e.g. :-) into (imho horrible)
little yellow images. Has anyone figured out how to turn them off?
Fixing corrupted mailboxes10 Nov 2004 20:54 GMT3
Hello, and thanks in advance for any help.  I am using version 6 under
OS 9.2.2 but I think the question relates to newer versions and OS X as
well.  I have a corrupted mailbox (the In box) which has been allowed to
become too large.  When messages are opened, I often see parts of ...
(converted) attachments removed on forwarding10 Nov 2004 20:54 GMT2
when I have an attachment in a message on the imap server, and I forward
this message, the attachment is moved to my machine and converted.
Eudora states Macintosh HD:att.doc so it does not state
Macintosh HD:users:me:documents:attachments:att.doc
Scam watch???10 Nov 2004 20:00 GMT1
Promotions for Eudora 6.2 say something about Scam Watch. I cannot find
it in the settings or anywhere else.
