Eudora Attention sounds for no reason20 Aug 2004 22:29 GMT1
For the past two days every so often I hear the "Eudora Attention sound"
for no reason. I do not have Eudora using that sound, I have elected an
alternate (more pleasant) sound which Eudora uses as to get attention
when it really is sounding an alert.

Incoming emails with multiple blank lines?16 Aug 2004 02:38 GMT2
Incoming emails from certain correspondents seem to open
on my Mac iBook, OS 9.2, Eudora Pro 4.2.1 with multiple blank
lines (3, 4, sometimes more than that) between paragraphs.
Seems as if the messages for which this occurs are typically
More on Eudora printing only one-by-one page15 Aug 2004 12:43 GMT1
Thank you all for your help and hints. I have now reset all my settings,
and nothing has changed the fact that Eudora will only print one page
(the one on the screen), then the next one has to be explicitly
indicated ("print from page #..."), and so on. "Print Selection" will
.zip attachments problems15 Aug 2004 12:43 GMT2
Lately, when I attach .zip compressed file using Aladdin's DropZip, the
recipient either gets only a file names "%" or the zip file and a file

Does anyone here have the same experience or have a solution?
Eudora Problems are Making Me Sick!15 Aug 2004 07:10 GMT2
First off a few weeks ago, the spam box started opening each time mail
is checked - even though it never did before. Secondly, the spam
filter repeatedly filters good messages as spam, even when i have told
it again and again it is not spam and even created filters for the
Eudora confused re. sending & receiving mail15 Aug 2004 06:18 GMT3
I've been using Eudora 6.0.2 for Mac OS X for more than a year with few
problems.
I use Covad.net as my ISP at home and access those mail servers when home.
When I travel, I've recently started to use a friend's MSN identity to
Opening unix mailboxes14 Aug 2004 19:09 GMT3
Hello fellow Eudorans,
I'm using a perl script to edit mailbox files. The problem is, Eudora
can't open the edited files (they're dimmed in the open dialog). But if
I open them in Word and save them in Text Only format, then Eudora can
Eudora and File Maker Pro13 Aug 2004 23:08 GMT4
Can anyone help us?
We have several thousand email messages in Eudora 6.1 (on a MAC,

amongst 3 of us. We are considering the following two solutions but
Setting up Eudora-Probably a very simple answer13 Aug 2004 18:13 GMT1
I work in an elementary school and we use Eudora for our in-house
mail. Works fine for what we need. I would like to set up Eudora on my
home machine to read/reply to my messages. But I can't figure out what
settings to use. At school, everything is IMAP but I'm not sure how to
Is there a way to hide certain headers?12 Aug 2004 00:33 GMT2
In 6.1 (Mac) is there a way to suppress display of certain headers, beyond
the "Blah Blah Blah" button?  (Alternatively, is there a way to specify which
headers the "Blah" button hides?)
changes to SMTP port, via X-setting11 Aug 2004 14:17 GMT1
I need to get a buncha users to switch to sending mail to Port 587.
But I want this to be an alternate port; i.e. I'm NOT trying to change
the default SMTP port; I'm trying to force a change to an alternate
port, and set that to 587.
