Help...Spamwatch OS9 file now crashes Eudora 6.117 May 2004 05:31 GMT1
I just upgrades from paid mode 6.0.x to 6.1paid mode. When I launched
Eudora it would say translator initialization failed...... and close
out.  I downloaded Eudora document ID 911HQ and followed instructions.
Turns out that by removing the Spamwatch OS9 file Eudora will open
Eudora 6.1 won't send clickable links16 May 2004 22:54 GMT14
Using Eudora 6.1 in paid mode with OS 10.3.3 and it won't send clickable
links.  I am using styled text option.  I trashed the Eudora perf in the
user library.  My other email application, Apple Mail sends HTML with no
problem.  Any thoughts?
Block Attachments Download14 May 2004 17:51 GMT8
Have a feeling I'm looking right at the answer but I can't find where I
can turn off Attachments from downloading.
Would like to prevent potential virus risks that are missed by ISP even
though I immediately trash all of them from unknown senders.
Eudora 6.1  and OS9.1 _ unnecessary alerts13 May 2004 17:57 GMT1
Since upgrading to 6.1 (paid mode) I repeatedly get alerted (while
surfing or reading news with Netscape) that Eudora need my attention.
Upon switching over to Eudora a get the message "no new mail". Annoying!
In addition: when I quit eudora I get a message that Eudora has
How to reset "Open in Browser" browser13 May 2004 12:59 GMT3
I'm having a strange one that I haven't seen mentioned here. When I
select File>Open in Browser, my copy of Firefox opens the email in a
window. How do I reset this particular option?
When I command-click on a URL, it opens my preferred browser (Camino).
Can't run 6.1 in OS X13 May 2004 08:58 GMT8
I've been using Eudora 6.0 in Paid Mode in OSX 10.1.5 for some time. I
recently tried to upgrade to 6.1, but the program refuses to run. The
installation appears to complete successfully, but as soon as I run the
program, I get a message saying "The application has unexpectedly quit ...
Spool Folder12 May 2004 16:11 GMT1
While looking for something else I stumbled across a folder in Eudora
named: Spool Folder.
Here is the only documentation I could find in the PDF:
Spool Folder
Attachments sent to PCs12 May 2004 14:28 GMT12
I have recently noted that my PC friends have been unable to open
attachments such as .jpg and .pdf when they were sent by me using Eudora
v6.1, (I have "AppleDouble" checked.) BUT, if I send the same files
using Mail v.1.3.7 they can read the files.
Option-clicking an attachment in Eudora 6.1?12 May 2004 07:19 GMT3
In Eudora 5.x and prior you could option-double-click an attachment in
Eudora and it would prompt you to select the application you wanted to open
that attachment with. You could also do this with different URL protocols
(ftp://, http://, https://, etc).
Question on moving Eudora data from Win to Mac11 May 2004 06:40 GMT9
Can someone fill me in on the procedure for transferring .mbx and .toc
files and address book data (which is located where, by the way?) from
Windows XP Pro machine to OS X 10.3?
Eudora 6.1 paid mode is on both machines.
Reading the same mail folder from two machines?11 May 2004 04:11 GMT2
My wife's machine and mine are on the same LAN. There should be some way
of setting things up so that she mounts my hard drive on her desktop and
can then read our mail from my Eudora folder on her machine, but I have
not been able to figure out how to do it.
Help: Passwords required EVERY TIME I check mail.09 May 2004 05:49 GMT2
I just installed v6.1 (from v6.02).  I use the sponsored mode.  Now
EVERY SINGLE TIME I want to check my email accounts (6 at this point)
I have to re-enter my passwords.  I have checked the Save Password box
in the Pref>Checking Mai box.  This is driving me crazy.  I
Eudora "unsupported" by Bresnan workaround, anyone?09 May 2004 05:42 GMT9
Out here, AT&T's broadband has been bought out by Bresnan.  When they
switched over machines last week, Eudora 6.0 stopped being able to
check my mail, though Outlook Express works, as does my username and
password on their "check mail" website.
Command-H not working and "Insert" picture command gone.07 May 2004 23:45 GMT7
I recently installed Eudora 6 (upgraded from Eudora 5) and am using Mac
OS 9.1
I used to be able to go command-h and could either attach a picture or
insert it.
Spinning wheel07 May 2004 15:01 GMT2
Is it only me, or Eudora in its latest incarnation, has acquired this habit
of pausing, every now and then, displaying the spinning wheel?
Before upgrading to 6.1 I never noticed this. Now, I might be typing away,
while all of a sudden, everything else stops for up to half a ...
