I'm a new user of mac, I had tried many times to connect entourage to
exchange server 2003. It always had a error Automatic "Configuration
Failed Error -3260". I had tried "configurate account manually", it also
doesn't work.

When I attach a PDF to an email through Entourage, the recipient(s) of
the email get TWO attached PDFs. The first PDF is the original attached
PDF, and the second is a PDF called "image.pdf" which is an exact
duplicate of the PDF (other than the name). Does anyone know why/how

Can you tell me what "by actually making Global Catalog servers
available for LDAP lookups" means?.  Entourage still won't let me send
mail and this has been going on for a week.  The problem doesn't seem
to be at the ISP since we can send mail through explorer.

What files should I be backing up to preserve my Entourage settings and
personal data?  I suspect all or some of the Microsoft User Data files,
but that can consume a lot of file space, especially if backing up to
iDisk.

I installed the latest update as per Microsoft to enhance security. Now
Entourage is running v e r y slowly.
I'm running Intel MacBook, Entourage database is right at 1 gig, I
rebuilt database, compacted it and it's still real syrupy.

We have a few public folders that a lot of people access and we notice that
they are often not synching.
We are running Entourage 2004 with all the latest updates and an Exchange

Here is the current situation:
Entourage v 11.2.0 (050811), OS 10.3.9 through 10.4.5, trying to send
e-mail through SDSL SpeedStream 5851 router always  displays the Error:  
-17897 Authenticaiton failed because Entourage doesn't support any of

I can connect to our company's Exchange server no problem, and can
connect to the public folders, but the public folder calendar shows up
in list format (like an Inbox/email folder) rather than in calendar
format. I can't find a setting to change this...

Is there a way to force Sync Services to sync the Instant Messaging
fields of Entourage and Address Book contacts? Entourage seems to ignore
anything in the Instant Messaging field of Address Book and vice versa.

Here's an odd one.  Entourage is not receiving E-mail from a few E-mail
addresses sent to my Google account.  It receives 95% of the E-mail
sent to me, but occassionally I will receive four or five E-mails from
a particular sender and then out of the blue the sixth E-mail doesn't

a colleague would like to transfer his calendar  entries from the local
calendar to the exchange server. unfortunately this ist not possible with the
export and import feature of entourage - entourage always import calendar to
the local calendar, but not to the exchange calendar.
