| CodeWarrior 9.3 MachO Build Problems | 22 Jun 2005 17:11 GMT | 3 |
I downloaded the CS2 SDK and found that there is a Mach-O CodeWarrior Sample Importer, so I tried to compile it and got the following errors (Plus a lot more that were caused by the error (not finding ansi.h)). I am using CodeWarrior 9.3 as recommended in the documentation.

| CodeWarrior as an IDE, not as a Compiler | 22 Jun 2005 16:29 GMT | 13 |
This idea was hinted at as a tangent in another thread, but I thought it's worthy enough of consideration to give it its own thread, so here goes... Okay, let's decouple CodeWarrior into the IDE and the compiler plugins.

| CW8.3 + CFM + Tiger | 22 Jun 2005 01:06 GMT | 3 |
My question is simple: once I upgrade to Tiger, will my Carbon/CFM (as opposed to MachO) CW8.3 projects still compile and link? Granted, they were kind of crippled before and couldn't use some APIs, but will they suddenly stop compiling at all? Or will the debugger

| Re: EULA verbiage | 20 Jun 2005 22:18 GMT | 44 |
Regarding the legality/ethics of "porting" PP and/or PPx to XCode, note that Apple's public document Porting CodeWarrior Project to XCode (6 June, 2005) states (pg. 62)

| Will there be a CW 10? | 16 Jun 2005 23:07 GMT | 7 |
Larry wonders if they will drop CW 10 "in light of the Intel deal". Well, there's another consideration too. You're not hearing much from those of us at WWDC because of course we're under NDA. But let me just say that 1) my impression is that the rate of improvement in XCode has not ...

| Status of PPx? | 16 Jun 2005 14:46 GMT | 27 |
I'm one of those who made the leap to PPx to try and "stay with/ahead of the curve". I am now a year into the development cycle for a freeware app with nearly 35,000 users, judging by download count, and starting *again* from scratch is not an option.

| Caching directories | 15 Jun 2005 20:33 GMT | 3 |
A few months ago CW became dog-slow, spending huge amounts of time "caching directories" every time I tried to debug. Then it stopped doing it and worked fine, until yesterday after I rebuilt some of my libraries. Now it's doing it again.

| Does this spell the end? | 14 Jun 2005 06:09 GMT | 43 |
Now that Freescale so wisely sold off its Intel technology and Apple telling Freescale where it can put its weenie G4 processors, is there any chance at all we'll continue have a viable alternative to Xcode? Come on, Ron, do your cheerleading thing.
