1- I need to find the equivalent of the win32
   GetSystemInfo(&systemInfo);
   systemInfo.lpMinimumApplicationAddress and
   systemInfo.lpMaximumApplicationAddress.

I know for sure that I have a copy of CS8 from years ago.  Also have CW9--it
even says CW9 on the CD and the app is IDE 1.6.  I have a later CD which I
assumed was CW10 which has IDE 1.7.
Today on this newsgroup I see several people hoping for the future release

I am trying to create CFMessagePort and to send a message.
my problem is that I failed to include Header: CFMessagePort.h .

I recently moved my MW CW 7 folder, containing IDE 4.2.6 (and CW for
PalmOS v8), from an old Mac running OS 10.1.5 to an iBook running OS
10.2.6.  I used to be able to browse source files from the CW IDE
without having the modification date (as listed by the Finder and the

I am about to port an application from windows to Mac OS9 / OSX (most
likely using PowerPlant).
One area I am unfamiliar with is the use of COM plugins in windows.

I'm using Win2k, with all the service pack and upto date.  The "Access
Denied" error is wrong, as I can write to that location (run as the
admin on sys, and even created text files on that location)
I got my CW8 updated to the latest 8.3 and its giving me link errors

The insidious bug was eventually addressed in MW pro 6.0 "for pay"
update but not in 5.x.

We're wanting to release an app, and we're wondering what the best installer
program to use is.
Preferably, you'd drag a bunch of files to it and that would be the contents
of the install.  Is there something that simple?

   I have built a simple carbon application package, and added 2 static lib that I have written. This links without any problem,
but when I launch the application, I got an alert saying :
  Application Launch Failure
  The application "SoundPlayer" could not be launched
