Leopard issues with Word

I just installed Leopard and noticed some major issues with Word:

* Word now thinks that I have a trial version of the software
* I can open multiple instances of the application like on a windows
machine which is really strange

Is anyone having these issues? Any suggestions on what do to to fix
the problem? Entourage and PowerPoint are working fine.

I haven't moved to Leopard as yet - nor do I plan to do so until Apple get's
their at together;-) but after upgrading did you apply the 10.5.1 update
from the Apple site?

Why do you think Word believes it's a Trial Version - what gives you that
impression? Did you ever have the Office 2004 Test Drive on that system?

Hmmm... I thought the Trial Version only came pre-installed on new
machines. Just installing Leopard won't install the Trial. Perhaps you
never deleted it under your previous OS?

In any case, once Test Drive has been run, the safest course is to run
Remove Office, remove all versions of Office, then reinstall Office from
the install CD, and update via Microsoft Autoupdate (or via downloads of
the appropriate updates from MacTopia).
