Mac Forum / Applications / Word / November 2007Word Version 11.3.8 stalls
I am experiencing sudden and unexpected problems with Word for Mac Version 11.3.8. Basically, it does not open or save documents anymore. When I try to open or save a document Word stalls and I have to end the program. Can you please help? Thanks! Since you don't specify OS X version or anything about your Mac I can't be certain, but you might try the troubleshooting steps suggested here: http://word.mvps.org/mac/Diagnose.html Particularly those that pertain to repairing permissions, testing Normal & testing preferences. If that doesn't resolve it you may need to apply/re-apply recent OS X updates using the appropriate Combo Updater from the Apple site. Repair permissions afterward if you do.
