Opening word doc.

So i have some problem using the old 2000 version of word. When i open a
document by dubble clicking it, it opens word but not the document i wanted
to open. So i order to open the document i have to do it from within word
using the open command. This however is abit time consuming so any
suggestions of how to get word to open the document immediately?

Using XP as OS.

Sorry, you’ve landed in a MacWord group (not your fault, the interface
is *very* badly designed). You might get an answer from the people here
who use both Windows and Mac, but you should try asking your question on
the general Word newsgroups.  Start here:
