Hi Max:
Look up "Vertical Justification" in the Help and turn it off.
You have set up your document layout so that it is vertically justified
between the top and bottom margins.
I can't remember where this is in Word 2004: Try File> Page Setup. Click
the Layout tab in the Page Setup dialog box, choose Justified in the
'Vertical alignment' drop-down list, and pick Whole document in the 'Apply
to' list.
