A friend out mine just switched from a PC to an new powerbook.

She has switched over to Office 2004 and is using Mac Word 11.3

I can email from word as an attachment but she cannot. The button is
greyed out whereas mine works fine.

Any suggestion as to how to get this feature active for her. I'm at at
loss as how to fix it.

Thanks in advance?

She needs to switch over from Apple's freeware emailer to the Microsoft
Entourage email program included with Microsoft Office 2004.

WHen she gets that corectly set up so that Entourage is her default email
program, Send To will work.

Or she can simply continue to write and email then insert an attachment,
which most people find just as convenient.  The second method has the
advantage that it encourages users to Zip their Word documents so that they
do not blow my mail server off the air with multi-megabyte emails :-)

Cheers

Sorry John - File>Send To>Email Recipient (As Attachment) & the
corresponding toolbar button work just fine with Mail - it's just the HTML
option that only works with E'rage. And Mail Merge to email requires E'rage
as the default client. I won't argue Mail v. E'rage, but I don't think
that's the issue here :)

To Monte - Make sure the other user has the right button on the toolbar
and/or have her try the menu command indicated above.
