Sorry, I might got lost, but I cannot see post from any Emily.
So I guess your spell checker isn't working. First, select your text and
navigate to Tools >Language and select the appropriate one.

If your prolem is different, please send the link to Emily's post or more
description of your ploblem.

The only posts I can locate from an "Emily" go back to Late Feb & early Mar,
have nothing to do with Spell check, and are in the PC Word newsgroup. So,
since you offer nothing more to go on the best I can suggest is that you
have a look here:

You should be able to resolve whatever the issue is once armed with that
information.

Make sure you uncheck the box that says "hide spelling errors in this
document."  It's under "Spelling and Grammar" prefs.  :)
