Sure.  You want a CreateDate field.

You can use Insert | Field > Date & Time > CreateDate, and click on
Options to get the format you want.

Once you've got the right field, if you like you can create an AutoText
from it for easy insertion (see Help on creating AutoText). Or you can
type it yourself, even--cmd-F9 to create the field braces, then just
type CreateDate between them.

Based on the limited indication of what you want there is nothing you need
to do - that's automatically handled by the OS.

Control(right)+Click any file icon - makes no difference whether it's a Word
doc or not - choose Get Info (alternatively, click the file icon then key
Command+I). The Get Info window that appears will give you the creation date
of the file as well as other detail.

Additionally, if you have a doc open in Word (as well as a number of other
programs) go to File>Properties & take a look at the General page of the
dialog as well as the Statistics page. That info is displayed there, also.

If you need something other than this, please be more specific & include
which version of Word & Mac OS you're using.
