Can anyone offer a suggestion please?  My documents are not printing
below a half inch from the bottom margin on any printer.  The drivers
are all current.  Even to a PDF, it won't print the bottom half inch.
I think it's a Mac issue because on a PC, the same document works fine
with all printers.  Any help please?

I did
1.Set margin and footer to 0 at FORMART>document
2. Then File> PRINT> and at left click on PAGE SETUP>PAPER SIZE>MANAGE
CUSTOMŠ make a new custom one set to 21cm and 29.7 cm. Press OK. Now choose
the one you have just created at  PAPER SIZE, click OK and then in other
dialog box choose print to PDF. This enables me to gain the smallest
possible margins.

Lemmee guess :-)  On the PC you have set the document to "Letter Size" paper
and the printer has Letter Size paper in it.

On the Mac, you have somehow set the document to "A4" page size, but the
printer still has Letter paper in it?  A4 is longer and narrower than
letter.

Go to File>Page Setup and make sure the paper size you have chosen is what
is actually in the printer.  The go to Format>Document and  make sure you
are not asking the printer to print closer than half an inch from the edge
of the paper.

You may want to review all of the topics you will find in the Mac Help under
"Printing".  Word does not do the printing, it hands off to Mac OS for that,
so you need to read the Mac Help for an explanation of the options that
appear in the File>Print dialog.

Cheers

You might be interested in the curious tidbit.

When you install Print Driver the first time for HP Printer it will ask
if you want to use A4 or letter size as default size printer.

I've had this happen with every  HP printer I installed.

Now, that¹s me, who is a bit confused...
First I have also thought about letter size of paper, but I have been
playing with word for a while and I have newer used that letter and even
when I choose wherewer possible  (printer sytem pref, Word) size A4 still
when printing to PDF there¹s about 0.5cm margins at botom. So I had assumed
that the original post was about this.

The only case I got get bottom margin=0 in PDF is If make custom page (which
is in fact A4 but called custom) as described previously. But I'm aware that
zero border cannot be reach on SOHO printers.
