Email attachments not opening properly

When I receive an email from a word user the contents are all squares and
lines. I have checked the Internet options FONT function and it is set
properly. I have reloaded Word and still not working. Any suggestions?

Hi Jerry:

Hmmm... I can't read your screen from here, so I need a bit more detail...

I need to know the version and level of your operating system and of your
copy of Word.

This is not likely to be the FONT setting. It is likely that the sender of
the email did not set their "attachment" properties correctly. Tell them to
set their mail program to send attachments as MIME, Base 64, UUEncode, or
AppleDouble.

Any of those will work if you are using Microsoft Entourage as your email
program.
