Hi,

I have had the experience of losing my custom toolbars upon restarting the
computer for a completely non word related reason.  Any clues?

Hi Rafael,

Are you saying that when you go to Tools>Customize>Toolbars, you don't see
your custom toolbar in the list there?  Are you sure?

If you do see it there, all you have to do is check it and it will display
again.

Hi Beth,

I recollect that after restarting, the menus all reverted to default.  I
think that in going to tools>customize at that time, that if my customized
toolbars showed up I would have noticed that because I was back in customize
to recreate customizations, i.e. dragging my personal selections into
existing toolbars, or creating new toolbars for the selections.  I do know
about clicking the "save all" icon in order to fix the customizations in
place.

This doesn't seem to be a problem now as I just restarted and everything
came back fine.  When I lost it all was when restarting after installing
software that required restarting.

Best,  Rafael

PS I don't know why this Entourage reply to newsgroup isn't including the
whole string of comments, such as my original question at the bottom. It
included you reply, but not my question below it.  I have "Include entire

Hi Rafael:

I just saw someone on another forum reporting that he could reproduce this
reliably in Tiger if Entourage is set to "Prompt for Identity" on startup.

You might try that and please post back if that was it :-)

Cheers

I am in Tiger, I have Entourage set to "Prompt for identity on startup",
and I have never seen this problem. I don't think there's any connection, or
not at least without some other factor as well.
