Hi,

Would anyone know how to map the first five function keys to a specific
function in Word 2004.  I have a technically-challenged user who is
upgrading from Word 98 to 2004.  Some one had set this up for him to
switch between fonts and copy cut and paste.

I cannot find this in any documnetation in Office Help.

Thanks

/J

Tools>Customize>Customize Keyboard. Select the appropriate commands, then
assign them to the function keys.

Hi Jay:

I am not at all sure you will do this successfully in OS 10, depending on
your version.

The first five function keys are mapped to system commands in OS X.

Refer the user to the Word Help topic "Customize shortcut key assignments".
You will save yourself a very great deal of time by sitting with that user
and showing them how to use the Search function within Microsoft Office Help
:-)

Cheers
