Does anyone know how to turn a single page, in a multi page document,
horizontal in Word 2004? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

This is not difficult to do, but it does involve the use of Section Breaks.
Take a look here:

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/WorkWithSections.htm
(click 'Refresh' once or twice if using Safari)

Hi CyberTaz,

Subsection #1 of this article is more direct to the question:
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/LandscapeSection.htm
(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

But in fact I'm just noticing that the directions are not so transparent for
MacWord at present....

Hi Daiya-

You're absolutely correct... I should have pointed out that the material was
more specifically oriented to WinWord, but I intentionally pointed to the
beginning of the article because I has the impression that the OP might not
be at all familiar with section breaks.

BTW- I could not find a similar article in the MacWord pages. Is there
simply _not_ one, or am I overlooking it?

Hi CyberTaz,

I think there is not an article on Landscape in MacWord.  For most of the
usage articles, it works fine to point people toward the WinWord versions.

But I don't think you need to understand section breaks to do a landscape
page, just to know that there is such a thing as a section and it needs to
be created.  (however, I got burnt last time I fed some general info and
expected people to assimilate it to their own case, and that one seemed like
it would take a lot of assimilating :)

Insert | Break | Next Page Section Break before and after the desired
landscape page, then put the cursor in the desired landscape page, and go to
File | Page Setup and change the orientation.

It should automatically apply to that section only--if you want to
doublecheck, change the Settings menu in File | Page Setup to Microsoft Word
to control what the orientation change applies to.
